How Pool Volume Calculator Works

This calculator determines the total water volume of your swimming pool based on its shape and dimensions.

Formulas Used:

Rectangular Pool:

Volume = Length x Width x Depth

Circular Pool:

Volume = π x (Diameter/2)2 x Depth

Oval Pool:

Volume = π x (Length/2) x (Width/2) x Depth

Unit Conversions:

  • • 1 cubic foot = 7.48 gallons
  • • 1 cubic meter = 1,000 liters

Tips:

  • • For variable depth pools, use the average depth
  • • Measure from the waterline, not the pool edge
  • • Round up slightly for chemical dosing calculations
